The International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) is the premier organization for Business Analysts. IIBA has chapters throughout the world. They publish the Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK) which serves as the foundation for their certification program, the CBAP
Project Management Institute. (PMI) is the world leading organization for project managers. Recognizing the importance of requirements management to project success, PMI sponsors a Requirements Management Community of Practice.
The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). works to share, promote, and advance the best of systems engineering. INCOSE has chapters throughout the world, and has a current initiative on transformational systems engineering.
Consultants/Classes
Volere. James and Suzanne Robertson are the authors of the book “Mastering the Requirements Process”, and offer classes, consulting, templates, to support the Volere method of requirements gathering and management.
The Atlantic Systems Guild. Offers training, consulting, articles and other resources.
SEILevel is requirements consulting company that has advanced the field of requirements gathering and management with a visual modeling methodology. There site has an interesting blog as well as templates and descriptions of many of the models that they use.
IAG Consulting offers consulting services, white papers, webinars, and requirements maturity assessments.

Books
Mastering the Requirements Process – Suzanne Robertson and James Robertson – One of the best books on the requirements process. Explains the Volere method.
Visual Models for Software Requirements, Joy Beatty. Explains Requirements Modeling Language (RML) and shows some great examples
Sotware Requirements – Karl Wiegers Considered by many to be the “text book” for the industry. Covers both requirements elicitation and management. Note, the third edition is due out in August 2013
